Hey there, Connected Women 🌿

Do you ever feel besieged by too many decisions?

There can be times when choices are inescapable: options at work, decisions over relationships, or directions in your quest for personal growth.

This week’s reading offers insight on how to address decisions when you’re standing at the fork in the road, whether it’s a career, relationship or personal development question.

So without further ado, let’s see what the tarot says about approaching your coming decision.

Card 1 | King of Pentacles – Success and Stability

Kings in the tarot represent the most organised and mature presentation of the particular suit’s qualities, whether for better or for worse.

The qualities associated Pentacles are materials, and the King of Pentacles embodies the qualities of a mature successful man, typically a wealthy business leader.

So, when this card appears, think enterprising, goal-oriented, high status and even charismatic.

In a reading, this card shows that you may need to access these qualities in yourself, or that you may be responding to someone who has them.

You may even be interacting with someone (not necessarily a male) who displays this type of personality, at work or in a relationship.

And yes, that’s quite broad, as it depends on the other cards in the reading (and we’ll get to that), as well as the question asked.

Right now, this card is indicating that you’re considering one option as being the most sensible one to take.

You might be looking at a choice that brings you more security in life, being lower risk and more beneficial in a material sense.

Is this a good or a bad thing? Or somewhere in between? Let’s see…

Card 2 | Four of Pentacles – Empty Gains

Fours are all about stability and the Four of Pentacles card is showing that you can achieve or acquire plenty of this as a result of your decision-making.

Here, the four coins are symbolic of status, money, power, and achievement.

This means that you are or will be experiencing a sense of security that is based on external factors, such as your home, income, or degree of worldly success.

These are valuable to have, as they can certainly keep the wolf from the door – and who would disagree that you’ll benefit from having that safety in your life?

But how deep does this sense of security actually go?

Are you feeling it deep inside, or is it no more than a bunch of external supports for your outer self that are mere props?

This card is saying that your inner life is as important as the pursuit of worldly goods.

Your task is to identify what is lacking and, without knocking out your supports, figure out what else it is that you need to do.

Card 3 | The Fool – New Adventures

The third card is very clear in answering this question!

The Fool is the first card in the tarot. Numbered ‘0’, he comes even before number 1.

Who is The Fool? He is not the idiot of popular culture, but rather is an individual who sets out on an adventure with a clear mind (let’s not say ‘empty’, although that may have been the historical implication…).

His thoughts are uncluttered by cultural and societal expectations, so he ventures forth in innocence, with little to accompany him, but a sense of wonder (and his dog).

He may be naïve, but he is enviably spontaneous.

There are risks, but these are outweighed by the amazing potential of a life that’s open to him, because he is not limiting himself.

In this reading, he symbolizes a new beginning or opportunity that is either here or is opening up for you.

This is your chance to start afresh. This goes further than making a relatively small change – as a Major Arcana card, the Fool speaks of your soul’s journey and the opening of a new pathway on a spiritual level.

Deciding Which Path to Follow

This reading is showing you the essential nature of the choices you currently face. Whatever the detail of the situation, this is the pared down version of your options, with all frills removed.

The King of Pentacles shows you that there is an eminently sensible option, which is the direction your head is telling you to take.

The Four of Pentacles responds that while this is true, you may find the gains you make are hollow. Your head may be satisfied, but likely at the expense of your heart.

The Fool, on the other hand, speaks of your deeper desire to introduce something new. Your heart will be more than satisfied, for this desire emanates from your soul itself.

Let’s Apply This to Your Situation

Your Career

If you’re facing decisions over your career, then you might be considering a position that offers material rewards, but which is ultimately unfulfilling.

Are you able to put passion aside to focus on work for money’s sake?

If you can, that’s fine. But if that would feel like a death by a thousand cuts to you, then a new direction or position may be beneficial.

Your Relationship

If you’re reflecting on a possible relationship, it’s clear that a secure rather than thrilling partnership may be there for you.

If you’re already in a relationship, it’s possible that security and stability have replaced excitement and passion.

Is this something you can base a lasting partnership on? If so, that’s wonderful, although maybe you could introduce some novelty for a little more sparkle.

If not, ask yourself: Are you in the right relationship for this phase of your life? And if not, what needs to change?

Your Soul Journey

If you’re focusing on your soul journey or personal development, then the implications of the reading are clear.

You may have all you need on a material level, but something is still missing. Do you even know what it is?

This is a good time to embark on some new experiences, which may open doors on a deep heart and soul level that you may not yet know are there.

This does not mean changing your life (although one day, it might), but adding to your life, perhaps by stepping outside your comfort zone for a while.

In this tarot reading, the cards are saying to listen to your soul, and at the very least to balance your deeper needs with more practical outcomes.

There’s a popular idea that when we come to a fork in the road, one branch is right and the other is wrong.

In reality, choices are often not like that. What is right for one person may be wrong for another. Only you can decide what’s right for you.

I trust that this reading will help as you face life’s choices this week.

With love, Jane 🦋

Pasque Flower Tarot Reading

Hello, Connected Women 💖

How are you feeling this Easter? Are you feeling that the year has gone really quickly, but it’s as if you’ve done a year’s work in just a few months?

If so, it’s not just you. It’s the accumulation of worldwide stressful conditions and the draining nature of having so much uncertainty in our lives. Meanwhile, personal and family issues haven’t stopped popping their demanding heads up.

So for many reasons, this weekend is a wonderful time for a reading.

And with a full moon rising, a beautiful Easter symbol has appeared in one of this week’s cards.

Let’s see what the cards have to say about the influences in your current work and career situation.

Card 1 | The Chariot – Driving to Success

This a good card to open with. The Chariot shows movement in a particular direction. Driven by intense energy, it brings about rapid progress and change.

In your work, it can signify overnight success after a long period of endeavour. This is when you achieve results through the power of your will.

Have you been working especially hard on a project or in a role? If this card applies, you will know about it, whether you’re scored results or are still waiting (hey, they’re not far away!).

Make no bones about it, we’re talking about a state of victory here. Whatever it is that you are trying to achieve, you’re nearly there – or may even be there already.

This is a Major Arcana card, so it’s referring to the bigger themes in your life. That means it’s safe to say this focus is something you care deeply about – we’re talking far more than daily bean counting.

Remember to congratulate yourself. This success shows that when you focus your efforts on the right thing at the right time, you really can make a change.

Where to next? Let’s see what the second card has to say.

Card 2 | Ace of Cups – Open Your Heart

This card shows that you can now afford to draw breath and reconnect with your intuitive side.

In this card, the chalice is brimming with water, the element of emotion. Five streams of water flow freely, representing your senses and the flow of your subconscious.

Aces are beginnings and the Ace of Cups indicates that positive new feelings coming into your life.

It’s possible that with all the hard work signified by the Chariot, you’ve lost that sense of who you are as a professional. Now is the time to tap into your emotional side again. The white dove, a beautiful symbol at Easter, shows that this is a safe time to do so.

Is there an aspect of work that is moving you in some way? You may be partially aware of this, interpreting it as a gut feeling but not giving it much attention. Change that up now! As you’re responding on an intuitive level, could it be a creative impulse that will benefit your work?

Take note of what your intuition is telling you. You’re in a strong position to take this creativity forward, for this is the start of a new productive phase for you.

Card 3 | Page of Cups – Making Creative Progress

The Page of Cups confirms that this a time for learning to work more with your intuition.

New insights may come to you, illuminating emerging situations as well as ones that you may have come across before.

When making a decision, it may help to take a moment to connect with your feelings. What to do they tell you – is this the right way to go?

This may not mean your decision are otherwise wrong, but simply that sometimes your thinking or actions can be adapted to make an outcome even better.

How do you feel about adding an emotionally guided quality to your work?

The Page of Cups is holding the emotional cup aloft, while pointing at the ground. The message is to engage your emotions, yet keep your feet on the ground, with sound actions and decisions.

It can certainly help your workplace relationships if you listen to those around you. (BTW, The Page can also represent a young and sensitive person who’s around, whose creativity may work well with yours.)

There’s definitely a place for emotions in the workplace, if balanced with your knowledge, experience and skills. It’s one of the areas where women excel.

The Hardest Part is Behind You Now

This reading shows that your endeavours until now have been worthwhile, meaning you can afford to drop a gear and work in a slightly different way.

The Chariot indicates that your hard work and focus have been successful, bringing you to a place of success.

The Ace of Cups is saying that it’s now safe to bring more intuition to your work, allowing your personal creativity to come into new projects or ventures, while nuturing professional relationships.

The Page of Cups adds his voice here, showing that there is an art to bringing your emotions and creativity to your work, and that this art can be learned.

The news that you can ease back and work in a slightly different way may come as a relief.  Until now, success may have meant survival of the business or organsiation, or merely just holding onto your job, or finding a new one.

All economies have taken a hit, rocking the boat for every organisation out there. With pressure lifting, you can now afford to work in a more creative, constructive and ultimately fulfilling way.

On this Easter weekend, I wish you every success going forward.

With love, Jane 🦋

Tell me, Connected Women 💖

Have things been feeling a bit out of control at work just lately?

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, the results take their time to appear.

It’s so easy to feel overworked and unrewarded at these times.

And even more so when a hammer blow comes out of the blue and seems to knock you sideways.

It’s hard to hold onto beliefs and motivation at these times. What more can you possibly do to make it all work?

This week’s career reading is all about hanging on in there, and surviving the rough to get to the smooth.

Card 1 | Ten of Wands – Too Many Tasks

As you can see, the Ten of Wands talks of feeling weighed down by the many burdens of life.

Wands are the fiery, creative suit in the tarot, but at the moment, you have little chance to shine, with so many responsibilities weighing you down.

Here, the Ten of Wands is saying that while your burdens are exhausting, you are still moving forwards.

A lot of this may be how you feel about your situation, rather than the situation itself.

Allowing the thoughts of so many tasks to flood your mind is a fast road to mental exhaustion.

It may be possible to address them one by one, or two by two, or whatever it takes. Rather than focusing on the enormity, break them down and tick them off.

With each one ticked, a spark of your fire can return, making the remainder a tiny bit easier. You may be closer to overcoming this than you think.

Card 2 | The Tower – Managing Change

Uh-oh. As a Major Arcana card, The Tower indicates that a significant level of change is either on the way or you’re experiencing it right now.

This card is often viewed as negative, as the changes happen to you, and are beyond your control.

And sometimes that may be the case. Life events can be like that. In a career reading, it can mean that change is a-coming with some accompanying disruption, for better or worse.

It may also be saying that you’re still being affected by change, and that you’re feeling all this – right now.

Change is rarely comfortable, especially if it’s driven by external factors. In every workplace, forces beyond anybody’s control have wrought havoc over the past two years.

Adaptation has been sadly necessary, and this may have meant changing the way you do business, or even finding a new job altogether.

It’s tempting to believe, as a storng woman, that you’re in control of all things in your life. your opportunity to move to something brighter, bigger, better.

It’s time to grow through adversity, coming through stronger, wiser, and better placed for your working future, if you’re able to embrace the opportunity to grow.

Card 3 | Seven of Pentacles – It’s Time to Wait

This peaceful card speaks loudly and clearly about taking the time to wait for results.

You can tend the ground and nurture the seedlings, but there’s nothing you can do to make that harvest come earlier.

Your figures may be low, because it takes time for trends to turn around, or for reputations to build, or for word of mouth to grow.

Your longer term plans may seem pointless, because elements out of your control still need to fall into place.

Or outside circumstances may change completely, meaning you need to review, revise and change direction, partially or completely.

All you can do is breath, exhale, and wait. Let go and start over again.

Remember that nothing is wasted. Whatever happens, you’ll move forward with more knowledge and information for the next time.

Going With The Flow

This week’s reading is a reminder that workplace situations do not always develop as you’d wish, and there are times when you need to adopt a holding position and see the changes through.

The Ten of Wands gives recognition of your hard work and the fact that no matter how accomplished you are, there are times when it can feel too much. That’s OK. Take a moment for yourself and then prioritise what needs to be done. You’re so nearly there.

The Tower indicates that even when major changes seem to disrupt everything you’ve been working for, life will continue. Your strength rests in your ability to adapt to change, absorbing the knocks before responding to the opportunities that arise.

The Seven of Pentacles shows that the positive results can take time to arrive. You may need to trust the processes, and sometimes you may need to review them. Take the time to give every action the thought it requires. The rewards will come!

Ultimately, learning to recognise what you can and can’t control is the first step in coping. Once you recognise that certain things aren’t your responsibility, it’s easier to let them go. Then if changes need to be made, you can make decisions with a clear mind and thoughts uncluttered.

Counterintuitively, you’ll then be in a far better mindset to regain control and successfully navigate these rough stages in your working life.

With love, Jane 🦋

Hello Connected Women 💖

May I ask what’s happening in your world of work right now? How are the vibes – are they warming your heart or freezing your blood? This tarot reading will help you to assess the workplace temperature.

After another week in which agression of one kind or another has dominated our news streams, it’s time to think about the energies that are affecting your workplace presence.

News saturation can make it all too easy to pick up on external energies, so they become foregrounded in our interactions with others.

If it’s in the news, we can internalize it, then foreground it, then it seems we become sensitized to the slightest hint of that issue.

Think: how many times have you consciously expressed or responded to unrelated tensions while you’re at work? It’s so easy to do, but I think we’re all better at identifying this in other people than in ourselves. (Yes, I’m looking in the mirror here.)

This week’s tarot reading give us chance to work on bringing supportive values to our interactions with colleagues, changing the narrative from purely task-driven to one that’s both successful and heartfelt.

Card 1 | King of Swords – Thoughts That Rule

In this first tarot card, we go straight to the nerve center of strategic thinking.

The King of Swords is the goal-oriented analyst, the intellectual who finds it effortless to establish control.

At his best, this king is a force for good, exercising sound judgement for the benefit of those he leads and manages. Think: leadership as service.

At his worst, he can be dominant, believing it to be his way or the highway. Reason overcomes all other considerations and empathy goes out of the window. Think: entitled manager.

If you recognize either of these people at work – of any gender – you’ll be nodding sagely right now…

This card may also represent an aspect of yourself. Do you have the King of Swords strengths – or some of his weaknesses?

On a wider level, if a turbulent work situation is posing problems, this card indicates that better management may be needed. It’s time to exercise your strategic strengths, or to request help from someone who can deliver what’s needed.

Now let’s see if the second card in this tarot reading can clarify this for you some more.

Card 2 | Six of Pentacles – The Gift of Giving

Here, a man of faith is giving alms to those who have little. The Six of Pentacles is telling us about the importance of giving and receiving, whatever form that help takes.

At work, it can take the form of professional advice, guidance, or skills. It may also mean supporting someone who isn’t able to perform as well as normal, for personal or professional reasons.

When this card appears in a tarot reading, you may be the person who is giving, or the person who is receiving. Let’s face it, it’s easy to move from one role to another.

If you’re being offered help, are you able to accept it with grace, rather than feeling that a weakness has been exposed? Remember that you’re not defined by your needs, although it’s so easy to feel that way.

Perhaps you’re in a position to help someone else. If so, try to expect nothing back in return, while understanding that they in turn may find help difficult to receive.

‘Paying it forwards’ sums up this ethos very well! Whatever form your support takes, this card says that the act of helping is two-way street, with benefits for everyone involved.

Now let’s take a closer look at those benefits…

Card 3 | Three of Cups – Marking the Positives

It’s easy to see that this is a card of celebration, signifying the joy of being with people in your life – and workplace.

This is the unbridled happiness that comes with fantastic news, a fresh contract, a profitable success, or a get together with work friends. As the song goes, let the good times roll.

This card also indicates that success is here – or is well on the way. Regardless of scale, it’s important not to forget these minor landmarks or let them slip by. Everyone needs to feel the benefit of the ‘up’ days, as it gives us energy to power through the ‘down’ days.

If you’re a leader, be alert for these moments. Acknowledging success can lift the spirits, bringing you all  together when hard work has been done.

When you’re working in a team, remember to look sideways and praise the efforts of your colleagues. Do this even if they aren’t the kind to thank you. In fact, do it especially if they’re not the kind to thank you.

And if you’re getting the girls’ night out feels from this card, then absolutely, you should go for it… this tarot reading says that you must!

A Supportive Focus

This week’s tarot reading is all about how we interact with colleagues. Great working relationships are worth their weight in gold adn with all the pressures affecting organizations this year, the benefits of positive team  interactions can’t be underestimated.

The King of Swords indicates that although strong strategic managment has never been more important – indeed, it’s been essential for survival after the toughest years in recent times – it mustn’t eliminate the needs of the very people who put plans into action.

The Six of Pentacles is a reminder of the value of offering support where it’s needed. It also shows us that accepting help with good grace is important. This is especially true if you take pride in your independent strength  as a strong woman (ahem, you know who you are!).

The Three of Cups shows both that the current times of hardship will pass, but that even while hardship endures, there can be moments to celebrate. Marking successes is another area of mutual support that will help to build the team and carry you all forwards.

Not everyone you work with will feel the same way, but bringing such values to the team – and to your connections outside the organization as well – will assist both yourself and others who are willing to engage on this level. A happy team is a team that delivers 💪 🙂

Can this information help you? I believe it can, as you’ve got this. You’ve REALLY got this.

With love

Jane x
